Specialist Recruitment & Online Survey
We undertook a specialist recruitment drive of Chinese students to participate in a study to identify their key drivers and habits of travel within Europe and specifically trips to Copenhagen.
Visit Copenhagen wanted to understand how to attract more Chinese students to Copenhagen both to holiday and to study. With over 200k Chinese students studying in the UK, Aviatrix were tasked with gathering insights on the attitudes, opinions and behaviours of over 500 Chinese students who were currently studying in four different locations across the UK. One of the key findings was that Chinese students have over £2 billion a year of disposable income to spend whilst studying in the UK and they are looking for engaging, welcoming experiences to enjoy alongside their university studies. Travelling within Europe is considered a major part of the experience of studying in the UK. Visit Copenhagen used the findings from the research to focus their marketing on the aspects of Copenhagen that are likely to motivate a visit to the city amongst this enthusiastic group of travellers. You can read the findings of the research without the Aviatrix strategic conclusions and recommendations on the Visit Copenhagen website.
The insights that Aviatrix gathered clearly highlighted the opportunity for targeting Chinese students. The added value of their work was their strategic and pragmatic thinking that turned the data into clear actionable insights for Visit Copenhagen.
